Professional Qualifications

Dr. Vera Stricevic joined our practice in December 2007.  She is a board certified Nephrologist who came to us from a Nephrology practice near Clearwater, Florida.   She is a member of the Collier County Medical Society as well as the American Medical Association, Renal Physicians Association, and the American Society of Nephrology.   Dr. Vera Stricevic was voted "Resident of the Year" in 2001 at New York Medical College, St. Vincent's Medical Center in Staten Island, NY.

Affiliation:  Dr. Vera Stricevic completed her residency training in Staten Island, NY and her fellowship in Brooklyn, NY.  Dr. Vera Stricevic has active staff privileges at Naples Community Hospital, North Collier Hospital and Physicians Regional Hospitals-Pine Ridge and Collier.

Dr. Mark S. Russo is a board certified Nephrologist.  Dr. Russo has several years experience in private practice in New Jersey and Naples, Florida, where he founded Naples Nephrology.  Due to his extensive research background, Dr. Russo is a presenter at medical conferences and conventions and has been published in several medical journals.

Nephrology Specialty Training Dr. Russo received his nephrology specialty training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Board Certified  Dr. Russo received his Board Certification in Nephrology in 2000, and Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 2000.

Research/Development  While studying to obtain his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey, Dr. Russo also performed cellular research related to cancer. He also has performed extensive research in immunobiology at the University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Affiliations  Dr. Russo completed his residency training and fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. Dr. Russo has active staff privileges at Naples Community Hospital, North Collier Hospital and Physicians Regional Hospital.

Publications  Dr. Russo has published articles in the American Journal of Physiology describing the role of cytokines in diabetes and in Cell biology International Reports describing enzyme activity in cancer cells.
